CONTENT BY CONRAN is a range of contemporary furniture designed by Terence Conran offering thoughtfully designed furniture at affordable prices. The collection reflects Terence's passion for simple yet elegant design that fits effortlessly in your home. This timeless collection doesn't shout for attention nor does it follow fashions or trends. It also focuses on excellent craftsmanship with close attention to detail, and looks better and better with careful use over time. We hope the craftsmanship of traditional details such as solid timber, dovetail and comb joints, high quality fabrics and carefully sewn leather will give you great pleasure for years to come.

Terence has been involved in design all his life–from a very early age he has enjoyed making things. During his career Terence has built shops and restaurants internationally but has never lost that early passion for straight forward design or his love for making things. After studying textile design in the 1950's, Terence set up his furniture workshop in West London.

In 1964, disillusioned by retailers who were unable to display his furniture properly, Terence opened a shop of his own that would show his furniture in the correct context and the first Habitat store on London's Fulham Road was born. Habitat had a tremendous impact with its youthful energy bursting with new products and embracing a style of life that threw off the shackles of grey, postwar Britain. The Conran influence is still felt in many homes today, there are Conran Shops in London, Paris, New York and Japan and Terence is Chairman of Conran & Partners, an architecture and design practice.

CONTENT BY CONRAN complements Terence's lifelong philosophy to bring good quality, contemporary furniture to a wider audience. The range focuses on living and dining rooms including sofas, occasional chairs, dining tables and chairs, coffee tables, cabinets, storage and shelving. The look is relaxed and informal using curved and shapely forms.
